1974 Health and Safety Act
Employers are responsible for the care and health and safety of their workers. 1992 Workplace Regulations
Employees are responsible for their actions that affect co-workers. 1999 Management of Health and
Safety at Work
Gives employees the responsibility to to take steps in helping to eliminate risks in the workplace. 2002
Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations
Gives employees responsibility to eliminate asbestos exposure, or reduce exposure to the lowest amount possible.
Employers are to assess risk before working with asbestos material.
